It’s hard not to be deflated when visiting some websites. The highly-reputed numerologist Ellin Dodge’s offering at http://www.ellindodge.com/ leaves one feeling distinctly underwhelmed. “The Best Numerology Site on the Web” is the boast but it’s an empty one that is low on content and has a cheesy edge to it. It will take you less than 5 minutes to whizz through her website and easily the best part is the links to other websites which take you away and offer something far more substantial. Unless you’re visiting to buy one of Ellin’s books then stay well away !  

Instead, why not go straight for something simple and unpretentious and head straight for http://www.amtelecom.net/~mandclu/numerology/ and get a quick reading from The Virtual Numerologist (cheese-free site!).      

 

Sometimes the internet seems overcrowded with disappointing websites populated with very little original content. Some days when you are browsing or searching, you come up against constant mediocrity. Well http://www.numerology-free.com/ is one website that doesn’t disappoint and delivers some very interesting content. It basically delivers a free 21 lesson course in Numerology ranging from the basics, to the life path, the heart’s desire, harmonious and discordant aspects, the pinnacles, the challenges, the essences and even a lesson on numerology software. Take a few minutes to evaluate this website yourself and see if you agree.  

I was looking a terrific website tonight; http://www.astrology-numerology.com. This website is a huge resource for both astrology and numerology but in particular I was reading a section about naming your baby. The following nugget of wisdom was offered :- 

“Frequently, the concept of reincarnation crops up in numerology. Whether you believe in reincarnation or not doesn’t really matter much, but for those that do, the idea generally put forth is simple. The baby is arriving to continue a journey of learning lessons only learnable on this plane. The mother has already (or will before birth) spent a significant amount of time with this newcomer. She may have subliminally received some clues about what this little reincarnated soul would like to have for a handle. Thus, mom should take the lead, and with dad’s help, they should figure it out together. My sense is that she should be the final arbiter in this process.” 

While appreciating the finer points of this (see http://www.astrology-numerology.com/num-names.html), I think it’s already obvious to most of the waking world that women always take the lead in big decisions such as this anyway ! Only a foolish man (or a downright brave one !) would try and relieve his wife of such a responsibility !

Looking back at an article from September 2002 written by Rob Ragozzine of SimplyNumbers.com, he covers the use of Numerology in dealing and coping with stress to quite a degree. After posing questions about whether we are taking on too much in life, what should we do, how do we acquire pride, etc, Rob goes on to explain that we should answer these and other questions by looking at our personal numbers. He suggests we should use the Planes Of Expression. There’s plenty that Rob offers us (see http://www.soulfulliving.com/yournumberforsept02.htm) but here’s a short excerpt :-

I was reading about Musical Numerology today on DoveSong.com and liked the following short excerpt which was part of a look into the number 3 :- 

“If there is a given object that is fixed in space, this object has, as its location, three coordinates. An example of this would be the relative position of an airplane above the earth. It is calculated by longitude, latitude, and altitude, its three coordinates.   

 “If someone looks into the corner of a room, where the room meets the walls, they will see three intersecting planes that are considered to extend into infinity. These are the three dimensions of space. 

“There are three time zones that man senses, past, present, and future.  

 “If there is space with no motion, then time does not exist, only space. But if there is no motion, then there can be no space, for there has to be space to contain the motion. The motion through space causes sequentially. The earth’s orbit around the sun and revolution on its axis causes a time sequence on earth. Thus we have three aspects: time, space, and motion.”

Director John Moore recently explained about some spooky goings on during the filming of ‘Omen 666’ which is a remake of the 1976 classic ‘The Omen’. Moore explained :- 

“We’ve had strange things go wrong - the numerology of 666 has appeared in bizarre situations. Somebody got rear-ended by a taxi cab in Prague and of course the plate number on the cab was 666,” he said. 

“On the day we had some of our camera systems go down, the error number that came up was 666. 

“And on the day we shot the scene where the kid’s hair is cut to reveal the scar which says 666 - that entire day’s filming was destroyed in the lab; 13,000 feet of film, every single roll, every single frame destroyed. So we’ve had our own little curse”.

I was reading an article by Janarrdhana Guptha tonight which comprised FAQ’s about whether Numerology really works. Someone poses the question about why things haven’t changed for them despite having the spelling of their name changed. Janarrdhana goes on to explain that all parameters must be used; Birth Name; Date, Month & Year of Birth; Day of Birth & the Time of Birth otherwise the input system will be incomplete. Sometimes when reading through particular perspectives on Numerology, one can gain the impression that everyone’s lives are full of doom and gloom. After looking briefly at Christine DeLorey’s website at http://www.numerology.freesoul.com/, I came across the following paragraph which painted a picture of depression to really cheer readers up :- 

“Life is NOT an illusion. But the slave-like way in which we live our lives, where only the material is accepted as real, is certainly an illusion - a horrible nightmare - from which we are now waking up! As we awaken, one by one, we realize not only how loathsome we have allowed our world to become, but also how wonderful it could become if we were courageous enough to end our denial of reality and see life as the multi-dimensional miracle that it is.” 

Cheer up Christine, not everyone approaches this subject from such a negative starting point !

Sometimes you can run into an unexpected story when browsing the net. I was looking at the extensive offerings on Numerology on Suite101.com tonight and was looking at lesson 1 of 8. A rather macabre set of numbers surround the events of a plane crash that caused the death of a young Indian actress Ms. Soundarya.
