Would you go so far as to change your name if your Numerologist suggested it ? Probably the majority of us would choose not to but some people have been known to. A posting was made on the CureZone forum by Janarrdhana Guptha that poses the question :-

Everybody told me about numbers and their Vibrations. I had the spelling in my name changed by an Expert Numerologist. But nothing much seems to have changed. Why ?

Well Janarrdhana delivers a pretty heavy explanation and expresses his point of view that basically you shouldn’t expect such an action to automatically resolve the issues in your life. We’ve looked at many articles and websites since starting this blog but the one featured today stands out for it’s usefulness and quality. The article appears at http://www.soulfulliving.com/yournumberforoct03.htm and was written by Rob Ragozzine.

It talks at length about how each of us can achieve serenity through our Soul Number which provides the path to our inner voice. We’re told the further we are away from our inner voice the need for serenity increases and a clue to how far away we are lies with our own Soul Numbers.

A concluding statement in this article is “Finding simple ways to develop serenity can help you through your ups and downs” which is a simple statement but true. If you want to shake off the anxiety of your daily life, I would say this article is essential reading.

Came across an interesting electronic booklet that is available for download free of charge today. It’s purpose is to guide you in using numerology and meditation as a combined direction.

First of all you need to go to http://members.aol.com/AspireA1/index9.html. Once on the page, look for the link ‘download the free electronic booklet with numerology meditations’. You will find that the book is downloaded in zipped format which can be easily extracted.

Inside the book are the main sections of :-

Overview of numbers and meditations, self-esteem and self-expression, stress reduction and harmony, opening to happiness, energy and productivity, recuperation and healing, your inner child and responsibility, being alone without being lonely, vizualising wealth and the spiritual energy of the universe.

To be honest, the whole thing could have been loaded onto a few web pages but at least it does allow you to access the material while you are offline.

Have you found happiness living in houses that have numbers that are compatible with you ? And was the same true in the opposite way when the numbers of other abodes were at odds with you - did you have an unhappy time at that address ?

It is this subject that is taken on in depth by Angie Mansfield in her article ‘The Numerology of your Dwelling’ which can be seen at http://www.numberquest.com/article_dwelling.php.

If reading into this, you should first of all add together the digits of the house number you live at, eg 47 becomes 11 (if you don’t understand that calculation then numerology is not for you!). Angie also suggests that the individual numbers have a role to play. She does give you a good analysis of each of the numbers 1 to 9 plus 11, 22 and 33.

Do you ever see repetitive numbers like 11, 22, 33 coming back at you time and again in your normal daily life ? Numerology can be the first place to look to make some sense of this unusual pattern. The Decoz Numerology website is a very useful resource for many interesting and well-written articles and it is one such article on that website that helps us throw some light on the repetitive number syndrome.

What we learn straightaway is that there are different significances to each number set. 11 does not convey the same meaning as 22, 33 etc (though you should probably have guessed that much). The author Hans Decoz goes on to say :-

With the number 11 the issue is always one of subtlety, intuition, sensitivity, awareness, and the presence of knowledge that is not being applied. You need to trust your intuition. Your gut feelings tend to be more reliable than your “rational” understanding. You are making the wrong decisions based on what you think you know, while deep down your intuitive understanding is telling you to go a different direction.

I was reading an excerpt today from a book called ‘Your Love Life and Reincarnation’ by Stephen Petullo at http://decadcorp.com/numerology.htm. He hits on an interesting point in that although we use numerology, have faith in it and know how to use it, we don’t necessarily know WHY it works (unless of course you think differently). Stephen goes on to say :-

How can numbers describe personality or even future events? The “why” and “how” of numerology is a mystery. A numerologist can’t explain why certain types of events transpire time and time again under identical numerological aspects. A numerologist also can’t explain how matching patterns of numerological personality aspects (in different charts) repeatedly and accurately reflect human motivations, abilities, or challenges–they just do. The only reasonable explanation as to why numerologists can make predictions and discern personality through numbers relates to the idea that there exists a divine order in the universe and that we are all intimately connected to it.

Numerology is a science by definition, since results are consistently drawn from the same sets of circumstances. Science is based on observation, not theory. Science also has nothing to do with common sense. Much of today’s cutting-edge scientific thought appears unusual to the average person. For example, physicists suspect that the universe is somewhat oval in shape, so it’s faster to travel in space on a curved line. Psychologists believe that we attract those who have qualities we need for balance or who exhibit our own repressed undesirable personality traits. Their theory is that we are all mirrors for each other to help us resolve our personal issues. How do we “prove” the validity of these types of observations? It’s difficult to do, but it’s easy to see the truth in them through objective analysis.

Just recently Team India have been turning to celebrity numerologist Sanjay B Jumaani in an effort to gain an edge in their cricket matches. This was reported very recently by DNA India and the article can be found at http://www.dnaindia.com/report.asp?NewsID=1027845&CatID=6.

I was looking at Aplha Business Trends for May/June 2006 today which emphasized the effect of numbers 4 and 5 during these months.

Some of you reading this may be interested in Numerology software and it’s always handy to try out such things before making a purchase. Like all things, you need to make your own evaluation to see if you like it and it suits you.

I downloaded a demo version of DLM666 from http://www.delemme.com/etelnumer.htm tonight and found it functions very well. Like all executables, you first must download it and then run it for it to install on your computer. A desktop icon is created which you must use to launch the software.

I had a quick play around with it (you get a few go’s before it locks you out and forces you to purchase) and all seems to be good and genuine with it. The buttons down the left hand side take you to on-line descriptions of the subject on the button. On the main area of the form you put your name and date of birth in and click on ‘Analysis and General Information’, ‘Life Table’, ‘Zoom on Current Year - Favourable Days’, ‘Today’ and ‘Bio Rhythms Computation’. All of these provide valuable output in the form of web pages and a genuine effort has been put into this product. Well worth a tryout if this kind of thing is your bag.

Sometime it’s good to take time out and do something fun with numerology that doesn’t take too serious a slant on the subject. As the article says, you shouldn’t place too much faith in the numbers and “people who are truly meant to be together will be together regardless of their numbers”.
